The function is:
f ( x ) = 2 / ( x² + 3 x - 10 )
x² + 3 x - 10 = x² + 5 x - 2 x - 10 = x ( x + 5 ) - 2 ( x + 5 ) =
= ( x + 5 ) ( x - 2 )
x + 5 = 0 => x = - 5
x - 2 = 0 => x = 2
Answer:
The vertical asymptotes are: x = - 5 and x = 2.
