What is proportion and how would you use it with a unit rate?

A proportional relationship is where the ratio between any two quantities is always the same. for example (1,2)(2,4)(3,6)(4,8) is a proportional relationship. (1,3)(2,4)(5,8)(4,6) is not a proportional relationship.
