Given:

Santa started working at $6 an hour.

He did such a good job that he got a 20% raise.

So, the increase of the earning per hour = 20% of 6

so, the amount of the increase =

[tex]\frac{20}{100}\times6=1.2[/tex]

So, the raise = $1.2 per hour

The new hourly payment = 6 + 1.2 = $7.2 per hour
