What is the value of x for the following equation? x + 3 - 8 = 6x + 3x - 21

To solve this equation also you have to use the rul of inverse operations for equations, addition and subtraction are inverse operations and also multiplication and division, so:

x+3-8=6x+3x-21

x-5=9x-21

21-5=9x-x

16=8x

x=16/8

x=2
