Solve for m by simplifying both sides of the equation, then isolating the variable.
m = -1/4 + w/2

The way to solve for m is to get m alone on one side. When doing this, use the reverse order of operations. That means you do addition and subtraction first. So, subtract 4/8 from both sides.

2n=w-4/8

Now, divide by 2.

n= w/2-1/4!
