So slope intercept form is y=mx+b, so the slope of y=-x-22 is -1. So the parallel line would have a slope of -1. Now we can write the equation y=-x+b. Let’s plug the numbers in! So that gives us -2=-2+b. So b=0. So our equation is y=-x.
